Second digit in CNIC number represents the division.
Example:

  • If second number of CNIC number is 8 then holder of CNIC belongs to 8th division of Punjab.

3rd Digit:

Third digit in CNIC number represents district in division.
Example:

4th Digit:

Fourth digit in CNIC number represents tehsil. If 4th digit is 0 then tehsil and district are same. Example:

5th Digit:
