List Of  NATIONAL SYMBOLS OF PAKISTAN


NATIONAL FLAG OF PAKISTAN 

Amir-ud-Din-Kidwal designed the national flag of Pakistan on 11th August 1947. It was approved on 11th August 1947 in the constituent assembly.  It has an elegant design. Both colors have separate importance. A green portion in the flag represents the Muslims. While the white portion represents the minorities living in Pakistan. Crescent and star are designed on the flag. 



NATIONAL ANTHEM OF PAKISTAN 

The beginning national anthem of Pakistan was written by Ghulam Ahmed Ali chagla in 1949. Anthem was written by Hafeez Jalindhri become the favorite anthem of Pakistan. On 13th August 1954, it was the first time broadcasted on radio Pakistan. On 16th August 1954 national anthem was announced in assembly. However, the Government of Pakistan officially announced the country's national anthem in the assembly on 16th August 1954. 



NATIONAL HEROES OF PAKISTAN 

National Heroes of Pakistan mean the founders of Pakistan whom we called as The Father and The Mother of Pakistan. So The Father of Pakistan is Quaid-e-Azam whom we say as Baba-e-Quam. Although the Jinnah doesn't start his career as a politician. He was a lawyer by profession. He joined the Muslim league in 1913 and serve it till 14th August 1947. Quaid-e-Azam was the 1st governor-general of Pakistan. He died on 11th September 1948 due to a dangerous disease known as lung cancer or tuberculosis. 

Fatima Jinnah the Mother of Pakistan. She was the younger sister of Quaid-e-Azam. Also known as Madr-e-Millat. She was a BDS doctor. She also took part in politics. She died on 9th July 1967 at the age of 73 years. 



NATIONAL MOSQUE OF PAKISTAN 

Faisal Mosque is the national mosque of Pakistan. This mosque is located in the capital city of Islamabad. It was designed by Turkish architect (Vedat Dalokay). Its name is given on the name of the king of Saudi Arabia. This mosque consists of four long beautiful minarets having a height of 90 meters. It was completed in 1986. The total covered area of this mosque is 5000 square meters. It has a space of 74000 people. 2 lacs people can say a prayer in the ground.



NATIONAL LIBRARY OF PAKISTAN 

The inauguration of the National Library of Pakistan was done in 1993 in Constitution Avenue Islamabad. It has a capacity of 500 readers. It has a total of 15 rooms for research. This library is a great place for students and scholars.



NATIONAL DRESS OF PAKISTAN 

Every nation has some national dress which symbolizes their culture. Pakistan has also its national dress which is known as Shalwar Kameez. This beautiful dress symbolizes Pakistan's beautiful culture. Both men and women wear shalwar kameez with some variations. Shalwar and kameez are made up of cotton and lawn fabrics. 



NATIONAL POET OF PAKISTAN 

Poetry is the art and people love this art so its artist is known as Poet. Our national poet is Allama Muhammad Iqbal. He was born in Sialkot. He was a great philosopher, scholar, and leader. He wrote his poems in Persian and Urdu languages. His poems helped in waking up Muslims especially Youth to get freedom from the British. 


NATIONAL LANGUAGE OF PAKISTAN 

Urdu is the national language of Pakistan. Many other languages are spoken in different areas of Pakistan like Punjabi, Sindhi, Balochi, Pashto. 



NATIONAL SPORTS OF PAKISTAN 

No doubt Pakistanis are the die heart fans of cricket but a national sport of Pakistan is hockey. There was an era of Pakistan's hockey team which means that the Pakistan hockey team was one of the best teams in the world. Squash, Cricket, volleyball, and kabbadi are famous games among Pakistanis. Hockey continues to remain the national state symbol of Pakistan. 



NATIONAL FRUIT OF PAKISTAN 

Mango (summer) the king of fruits, is the national fruit of Pakistan. It is most popular among Pakistanis. Multan has the highest production of mango in the country. The national fruit of India and the Philippines is mango. Mango is popular due to its juicy pulp. This fruit is also used in decorating different sweet dishes like custard etc. Milkshake of mango is also a favorite among children. While Guava is (winter) national fruit. 



NATIONAL BIRD OF PAKISTAN 

 National bird of Pakistan is the (chakor Patridge). This bird looks beautiful and attractive. Another name of chakor is chukar. It is one of the beautiful birds located in the Northern areas of Pakistan. It is a challenging bird for hunters. Because these birds disappear quickly in bushes.



NATIONAL MAUSOLEUM OF PAKISTAN 

The national Mausoleum of Pakistan is the tomb of Muhammad Ali Jinnah. This beautiful tomb was completed in 1970. Today this monument is one of the sites of tourist attraction from all over the world in Karachi. It presents scenic beauty. 



NATIONAL TREE OF PAKISTAN 

The national tree of Pakistan is CEDRUS DEODARA. The average height of these deodar trees is about 40 to 60 meters. The diameter of the trunk of the tree is 3 meters. It is widely used in medical products. This is also famous for its fragrant wood. 


NATIONAL DRINK OF PAKISTAN 

(Sugarcane juice is the national drink of Pakistan). Roh and Gunnay ka rus are common names of this juice. Due to the highest production of sugarcane this juice is easily available at every street corner of cities especially near bus stands and railway stations. 



NATIONAL FLOWER OF PAKISTAN 

National flower of Pakistan is the (Jasmine or Gardenia). It is known as chameli ka Phool in Urdu. It has a total of 250 species. It is famous for its fragrance. Its fragrance usually spreads in the night due to which is also locally known as Raat ki Rani. 



NATIONAL COLORS OF PAKISTAN 

(The national colors of Pakistan are green and white.) As you know that these both colors are present in our national flag. 



NATIONAL MOTTO OF PAKISTAN 

Pakistan is the only country that came into existence in the name of Islam. Ittihad, Tanzeem, and yaqeen-e-Murakami were adopted as the national motto. The meaning of this motto is unity, faith, and discipline.



NATIONAL RIVER OF PAKISTAN 

River Indus is the largest and the longest river in Pakistan. It is the national river of Pakistan. It is responsible for supplying water to our homes and industries. The irrigation department depends upon this river. The total length is 3180 kilometers.

The national mountain of our beloved country is K2 or also known as Mount Godwin Austin. This is considered the world's toughest mountain to climb by world-renowned mountain climbers. K2 is considered the most challenging mountain by seasoned climbers. Its name is derived from Karokram mountain. The name of this beautiful pyramid-shaped mountain is from the Karakoram range. It has snowfall throughout the year and is covered with glaciers in winter.

The national vegetable of Pakistan is a ladyfinger. It is commonly known as Bhindi. It is enriched with vitamins and minerals. But it gives less few calories. It is also called okra. It has a fantastic combination with chicken.



NATIONAL PREDATORS OF PAKISTAN 

The snow leopard is Pakistan's national hunter. But it is considered an endangered species. It remains few in Pakistan. Its total population remains in triple digits. In 2016 it's the total number of individuals was 8700.

Khatak dance is the national dance of Pakistan. It is an Indian classical dance. It is also known as khatkar.

Buffo Himayalanus is the national amphibian of Pakistan. It is also known as the Indus valley toad or marbled toad. It is only found in India, Iran, and Afghanistan. But is commonly found in the Indus valley.



NATIONAL FISH OF PAKISTAN 

Tor putitora, the Putitor mahseer, Himalayan mahseer, or golden mahseer is the national dish of Pakistan. But these fishes are neared to endangered. The main habitat of these fishes are pools, streams, and lakes.  


NATIONAL MAMMAL OF PAKISTAN 

Indus Dolphin is the national mammal of Pakistan. It is lived in the Indus river. It is divided into five sub-populations. It is also lived in the Sutlej and Beas rivers of India. It is also near to endangered. 



NATIONAL REPTILE OF PAKISTAN 

The crocodile is the national reptile of Pakistan. It is also known as mugger much. The crocodile of Sindh is the national desert of Pakistan. It is also present in Iran. 



NATIONAL CALENDAR OF PAKISTAN 

{Fasli فاسلی which means (harvest) is derived from the Arabic term for division}. Fasli is the national calendar of Pakistan. It was introduced in the era of Akbar a famous Mughal emperor. starts in July and ends in June. Its total duration is 12 months. 



NATIONAL INSTRUMENT OF PAKISTAN 

Daf is the national instrument of Pakistan. It is a Persian frame. It is made up of hardwood. Different ringlets are present on daf. It has more use in Egypt, Iran, Iraq, and Pakistan.  Its upper membrane is made up of the skin of a goat. 



NATIONAL DISH OF PAKISTAN 

The national dish of Pakistan is Biryani. It is also known as biriani. It is originated from the subcontinent.

The Teen Talwar (Three Swords) monument is a national icon of Pakistan. It is located in Karachi (Clifton). It was commissioned in the era of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.

Pakistan has two national monuments. One is Bab-e-Pakistan and the other one is the Pakitsan monument Islamabad. National monument Islamabad was completed in 2007. It is located in shakar parrian.



NATIONAL TOWER OF PAKISTAN 

Minare Pakistan is the National tower of Pakistan. The Greater Iqbal Park is located in Lahore. It was completed in 1960. Its total length is 64 meters. It is present on-site where the Pakistan resolution was passed.



NATIONAL AIRLINE OF PAKISTAN 

Pakistan's international Airline is the national airline of Pakistan. It is commonly known as PIA. The main headquarter of PIA is situated in Karachi. It was nationalized in 1955. Its first international flight was in 1955 towards London. There was a time when PIA has a standard in the world. 



NATIONAL ANIMAL OF PAKISTAN 

Pakistan has a huge variety of wildlife species. National animal of Pakistan is the (Markhor). Its total weight is around 40 to 100 kg. The height of Markhor is about 21 to 45 inches. It is found among the northern mountain regions of Pakistan including Chitral, Ghizer, and Hunza. This word (Markhor) means ('snake eater)' in Persian. Unfortunately, the Markhor is now considered an endangered species.



NATIONAL DAY OF PAKISTAN 

23rd March is the national day of Pakistan. There is a public holiday on 23rd March all over Pakistan. 



NATIONAL DOCUMENT OF PAKISTAN 

Pakistan resolution is the national document of Pakistan. It is famous for Lahore resolution. This resolution was passed on 23rd March 1940 in Minto park currently known as Greater Iqbal Park.
