It will reportedly feature a portrait of Pakistan’s founder, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, on the obverse side, and an image of the Badshahi Mosque on the reverse. The issuance of the new banknote is likely to be met with some opposition, as Pakistan is currently facing an economic crisis. However, the State Bank of Pakistan has insisted that the new banknote will help to promote tourism and GDP growth. Only time will tell whether the new 75-rupee note will be a success or a failure.
