Quzhou, China – A 23-year old Chinese TikTok star has died after collapsing from a 160-foot-high crane while video recording in Quzhou. The Xiao Qiumei was working as an operator for the daycare center’s play area and had been planning on streaming live when she fell victim to this tragedy last week.

On 20 June at around 5:40 p.m., witnesses saw Xiao tumble to the ground with her phone still in hand after she left work for an internet show that did not exist. Her family verified this death by saying it wasn’t caused from anything related online or otherwise; rather, they believe she misstepped while walking home alone through dark streets near their house–a few minutes away from where we found her smartphone lying on its side next door neighbor’s lawn (now cluttered).

A Chinese TikTok crane operator has become an internet sensation after a video of his death-defying feats went viral. The man, who has been identified as Wang Kedi, can be seen in the clip standing precariously on the edge of a cliff, with only a rope and a harness to keep him from plunging to his death. At one point, he even dangles upside down from the rope, giving viewers a bird’s eye view of the breathtaking scenery below. Kedi’s videos have been viewed millions of times on TikTok, making him one of the most popular users on the platform. While some have praised him for his courage, others have criticized him for his recklessness. Nevertheless, there’s no denying that Kedi.

For many, Xiao Qiumei was a popular TikTok artist. Her content about life and family earned her more than 100 thousand followers on the platform while she went by @Xiaoquimei in Douyin’s Chinese language version known as “Tiktoke”. A mother of two who regularly shared videos from day-to-day activities with these followers were left traumatized after learning that their favorite creator had passed away recently; people are grieving this tragedy today but also sending sympathy messages– leaving an impressionful impact across all those impacted due to how kindhearted they showed themselves through social media posts unlike any other brands do nowadays.

The selfie death is no joke as it has led to another victim, 32-year old Sofia Cheung of Hong Kong who died after falling from a waterfall while trying capture an Instagram post.
